“I want my stage to be an altar, so all the praise goes to the Father.”
about
Nick Akin is a Christian music artist, singer-songwriter, and worship leader from Atlanta, Georgia with a passion for the Gospel and sharing the love of Jesus through music.
Nick brings a fresh approach to music evangelism blending popular worship songs, timeless hymns, and original music in a way that brings all ages to worship God together.
He has been involved in music ministry from an early age, gaining real-life ministry experience traveling with his family, The Akins. During this time, Nick wrote many chart-topping Gospel songs including “What If God Says No” and the #1 song, “I Want My Stage To Be An Altar”. This song became an anthem of his family’s ministry and continues to be the heart of Nick’s solo ministry today. He recently wrote and released an album of 10 original songs and is currently working on a hymns project.
Nick’s wife, Julie, and their five children, Addy, Jude, Tanvi, Milo, and Noa Rae are also involved in Nick’s ministry. At concert events, Nick includes them on special songs, creating a meaningful opportunity to share testimony of how God has worked in their family.
In 2019, through much prayer and a series of circumstances that only God could have put together, Nick and Julie adopted their daughter, Tanvi, from India. She has Caudal Regression Syndrome and has undergone eight surgeries since coming home.
Tanvi not only has a beautiful singing voice, but you will never meet a child that exudes more joy and happiness than Tanvi.
When the opportunity is given, Nick loves to share the Gospel using Tanvi’s adoption story blended with scripture… how we can be adopted into the family of God through faith in Jesus!
